About Churches Conservation Trust
The Churches Conservation Trust is a national charity that is dedicated to saving historic churches that are at risk of disappearing. With a track record of success, they have already saved over 350 buildings, which now attract nearly 2 million visitors every year. Their unique collection of English churches offers a glimpse into 1,000 years of history, showcasing irreplaceable examples of architecture, archaeology, and art.
These buildings, many of which are listed as Grade I and II*, are not only preserved but also kept open and in use, becoming integral parts of their communities once again. As the third largest heritage estate in charitable ownership in the UK, The Churches Conservation Trust ensures that these churches can be enjoyed as cultural, social, tourism, and educational resources. Moreover, all of their churches remain consecrated and can still be used for occasional worship.
