In 1989, a revered theme park shut its doors after the mass disappearance of unsuspecting parkgoers. To date, there hasn't been a place like it, and probably never will.

About Liminal Land
Liminal Land, opened in 1975 by CHARON Corporation, is an extraordinary amusement park that redefined immersive entertainment. Despite its location in the small town of Lake Valley, Liminal Land quickly gained a passionate and sizable audience. Families from around the world flocked to experience CHARON's experimental vision, making the park's ticket sales explode from day one.
With a mission to become the ultimate thrill-seeker destination, Liminal Land introduced emotionally evocative coasters, a multi-tiered waterpark called Subliminal Land, and even a massive underground suburbia. Throughout its fourteen-year tenure, Liminal Land operated in a peculiar manner. Despite accidents, changing rides, and missing individuals, the park's staff remained apathetic, and there was never any investigation or inspection conducted.
However, on May 20th, 1989, the park was suddenly and indefinitely shut down without any clear explanation, leaving behind a mystery that remains unsolved. While the physical park may be gone, the spirit of Liminal Land lives on in the hearts of theme park preservationists. Its impact on the industry is undeniable, and its absence has left a void that has yet to be filled
