About Hjemmeværnet
Hjemmeværnet is a voluntary emergency preparedness organization that provides support to society and the Armed Forces. They offer a wide range of products and services aimed at fulfilling their mission. As a volunteer in Hjemmeværnet, you can expect exciting tasks and be part of a strong community.
Additionally, you will have access to over 300 approved courses and training programs. Hjemmeværnet consists of more than 13,000 active volunteers and an additional 30,000 in the reserve force. Despite being volunteers, Hjemmeværnet soldiers contribute approximately 2 million hours per year to serving the community.
They provide assistance to the Armed Forces, Police, and other public authorities in various tasks both in Denmark and abroad. Hjemmeværnet's versatile capabilities include coastal surveillance, maritime search and rescue, snow clearance, and training for military personnel.
