Vita21

Vita21 is a nonprofit association founded in Catania in 2013 by families of children with Down syndrome. Built around a strong sense of extended family, it has grown into a wider community grounded in friendship, mutual support and inclusion. Its work creates opportunities for people with Down syndrome and supports families through different stages of life. Projects include parent meetings focused on shared experience, a summer week for families, activities that encourage independence and informed choices, practical life-skills learning, and social outings with friends. Through CaSA21, Vita21 provides a place for growth, autonomy and connection.

The association also raises funds through donations and a solidarity shop offering items such as calendars, T-shirts, bags, olive oil and seasonal products. Its hoLI'IO extra virgin olive oil is made with Frantoi Cutrera, with participants involved in each stage, from harvesting to labeling. Vita21 invites individuals to support its projects, contribute to CaSA21, follow its activities and join its community through the newsletter and social channels.
