Vitamine 8b

Vitamine 8b is an FFME-affiliated climbing club based at Espace Saint-Gilles in Le Plessis-Grammoire, Maine-et-Loire. Active since 1993, the club welcomes climbers in Anjou, around ten minutes from Angers, and offers access to a 250-square-metre indoor climbing facility for year-round practice. Its programme includes supervised classes for children, teenagers and adults, with weekly sessions for different age groups and skill levels.

Adult members can also take part in a Monday evening independent climbing session. Beyond the indoor wall, Vitamine 8b organises occasional outdoor trips, giving members opportunities to discover climbing on natural rock and develop their skills on cliffs. The club’s activities also include competitions, training courses and events shared with other local climbing groups.

Its calendar features youth development opportunities, adult outings and family activities, alongside events such as the MELT meetings and departmental championships. Vitamine 8b combines regular climbing practice with learning, outdoor experiences and a welcoming club community in the Angers area
