Vitapferd

Vitapferd is the equine health and nutrition practice of Sandra Michels, an equine nutrition consultant who has supported horses and their owners for more than a decade. Since qualifying in 2012, she has continued to develop her expertise in natural, species-appropriate feeding and individualized care. Her services include nutrition consultations, herbal therapy, Touch for Health, craniosacral therapy, kinesiology and other complementary approaches, including medicinal mushrooms and Bach flower remedies.

Vitapferd offers three consultation packages, from a one-time feed assessment and tailored nutrition plan to four- or six-month support for horses with ongoing or complex needs. Consultations may include on-site assessment, review of forage and supplements, follow-up adjustments and written plans; online consultations are also possible. Optional blood, hay and hair analyses can be added.

The practice also provides seminars and talks for horse owners, osteopaths and stable operators, covering topics such as metabolism, digestion, skin concerns, hoof quality and herbs. Seasonal herb profiles and a newsletter share practical guidance, while the site lists recommended natural equine product brands.
