SmartLayer by Vitrm provides switchable privacy film that transforms glass from clear to opaque at the flick of a switch. Designed to retrofit existing glass panes, the self-adhesive film offers a practical way to add on-demand privacy to offices and other interior spaces. The plug-and-play system includes a compact control module, connector cables, a wireless, battery-free switch, and cable covers for a neat installation. It can also be integrated with hinged and sliding door systems using custom-built solutions.
SmartLayer is designed for straightforward installation without a certified electrician and can be scaled from a single room to a larger workplace. The film features an anti-scratch finish and is available with power bars in white, grey, black, or aluminium. The system is UL-listed, UL 962 certified, FCC tested, and Class A fire-rated. It uses low-voltage power, consuming less than 0.5 watts per square foot. SmartLayer is available in the United States through Steelcase.
