The Vietnam Journal of Preventive Medicine (VJPM) is the official scientific forum of the Vietnam Association of Preventive Medicine. Established in 1991 as the Journal of Hygiene and Disease Prevention, it adopted its current name in 1998. The peer-reviewed journal publishes original research, reviews, commentaries, book and document reviews, and news related to research, policy dissemination, education, and practice in preventive medicine and public health.

Its coverage includes infectious disease, vaccination, nutrition, maternal and child health, epidemiology, screening, and healthcare services. VJPM publishes eight to ten regular issues annually, in Vietnamese with English abstracts and in English; supplements and special issues are additional. Its print ISSN is 0868-2836.

The journal provides an online platform for readers and contributors, with access to current and past issues, submission and resubmission of manuscripts, reviewer information, publication guidance, editorial policies, and announcements. It also publishes information on submission fees and printing services. By connecting researchers and public health practitioners with scientific findings and professional updates, VJPM supports the exchange of knowledge in preventive medicine in Vietnam
