V-League

The V-League, originally established in 2004 by Sports Vision Management Group, Inc., stands as a pivotal institution in the volleyball landscape of the Philippines. Initially launched as an inter-collegiate women's league featuring teams from the UAAP and NCAA, the V-League quickly revitalized a sport that had lacked momentum since the 1990s. In 2011, it expanded to include corporate and non-collegiate teams, reflecting a growing interest in volleyball. By 2017, the league rebranded as the Premier Volleyball League (PVL), marking a new era of professionalism in the sport.

The PVL announced its transition to a professional league for the 2021 season, resurfacing the V-League to cater to collegiate and amateur teams that could no longer participate in the PVL. This duality allows for broader participation in volleyball, ensuring the sport continues to thrive while catering to diverse levels of competition.
