Vleermuizenopvang Adorp

Vleermuizenopvang Adorp is a volunteer-run wildlife rescue organization serving the province of Groningen in the Netherlands. The foundation cares for injured, weakened and young bats that need help, with the aim of restoring them so they can return to the wild. Its work supports the conservation of bats, a protected and threatened group of native animals.

The organization offers practical guidance to people who find a bat, including advice on safe handling and what to do if a bat is inside a home. Because volunteers cannot always collect animals, finders may be asked to bring them to the Adorp location. The team can also provide information about bat species and advise after a bat bite; people are urged not to handle bats with bare hands and to contact a doctor if bitten.

People can support the foundation through one-time or recurring donations and by sharing its work. Vleermuizenopvang Adorp also organizes summer-evening bat expeditions and helps visitors learn about bats and local species. An adoption initiative is listed as forthcoming.
