Tight Lines is a Dutch fly-fishing group for people who share a passion for the sport and the natural places where it is practised. Its members enjoy the quiet of an early morning by a river or in the Dutch polders, the challenge of a well-placed cast, and the satisfaction of tying their own flies. The group brings together beginners and experienced anglers in a friendly community where knowledge, humour and companionship are valued.

Tight Lines organises fly-tying evenings, fishing days and trips to waters abroad. Members can learn from experienced fly fishers at the group’s fortnightly Friday gatherings. At its clubhouse at scouting group ZVC “de Visserij” in Brielle, there is also a grassy area for practising with a fly rod, with or without guidance. Respect for fish, water and nature is central to the group’s approach. Alongside fishing and practice, members share stories, try new techniques and celebrate catches, from a first trout, roach or perch to the memorable moments—and near-catches—of a day on the water.
