About Vliruos
VLIR-UOS is a brand that supports partnerships between Flemish universities and universities of applied sciences and arts in Flanders and in partner countries. Their goal is to find innovative solutions to global and local challenges. They promote collaboration between professors, researchers, and lecturers and provide grants to students and professionals in Flanders and the partner countries.
Additionally, VLIR-UOS helps strengthen higher education in the partner countries and fosters the internationalization of higher education in Flanders. The Bureau UOS, which is part of VLIR-UOS, is responsible for the overall policy for higher education and science for sustainable development. It consists of representatives from Flemish universities and universities of applied sciences and arts.
