Describing the work as “lockpicking but for computers,” the site brings together technical writing, creative projects, and links to related communities. Its featured publications cover topics such as software protection, passkeys and WebAuthn, hypervisor internals, server-side template injection, and security research. The author also contributes to nullpt.rs, a security research collective, and ud2.rip, focused on reverse engineering and software cracks.

Beyond research, the site includes a blog, a status diary, music listening and DJ-related material, and information about the author’s projects and computing setup. Visitors can explore selected articles and essays, follow links to GitHub and social platforms, and find contact details. The website also shares updates on current work, including software and infrastructure projects, and provides server and network status information. vmfunc presents these varied interests in a deliberately personal, retro-computing-inspired interface, offering readers a direct window into the author’s technical work and wider online activity.
