The Vereniging van Nederlandse Reflexzone Therapeuten (VNRT) is the professional association of qualified, independent reflex zone therapists. Founded in 1983, the VNRT currently has over 450 licensed members. All VNRT members have completed a 3-year HBO-level education in reflex zone therapy and a 1-year medical/psychosocial basic knowledge program, in accordance with the standards set by healthcare insurers.

The VNRT provides guidance to its members and ensures quality by setting requirements for accredited additional education and through evaluation visits. For newly licensed members, there is a reduced membership fee for the first 12 months. To raise awareness about reflex zone therapy, the VNRT highlights a yearly theme during the International Week of Reflexology.

Reflex zone therapy is a complementary therapy that targets the whole person, offering relaxation and can be used alongside conventional and alternative treatments.
