Stichting VOC Nederland is a national collaboration of individuals and organizations committed to addressing the cannabis policy in the country. As a result of the first Cannabis Tribunal in The Hague in 2008, the VOC was formed. During this event, scientists, activists, politicians, and entrepreneurs engaged in a two-day debate on the Dutch cannabis policy.

Surprisingly, none of the participants were able to present valid arguments in favor of the current ban on cannabis. The VOC firmly believes that the global prohibition of cannabis is a historic mistake that exacerbates or even causes problems instead of solving them. The main goal of the VOC is to raise awareness about the desirability of ending the cannabis prohibition among the Dutch population, media, and politicians.

They promote collaboration among all individuals and organizations dedicated to ending the ban. Through their website, social media platforms, mailing list, and events such as the Cannabis Tribunal and Cannabis Liberation Day, the VOC disseminates information and fosters dialogue. The VOC also engages in ongoing lobbying with politicians and the media, publishing informative bidbooks in PDF format.
