Vocalize is a debating education program founded and led by Bhavani Kriplani in Sharjah, UAE. It helps children and young people become confident speakers while developing the skills needed to participate in competitive debate, including at regional and international levels. Its training is designed for both beginners and experienced debaters, and combines structured instruction with practical exercises and individual feedback.
Students learn debate formats, speaker roles, research, critical and analytical thinking, active listening, and persuasive public speaking. Sessions include live debates, fun drills, and preparation for competitions ranging from interclass events to regional and global tournaments. Training also encourages students to argue both sides of a motion, helping them consider different perspectives and strengthen their decision-making.
Vocalize presents debating as both a competitive activity and a source of transferable life skills, useful in settings from the classroom to future professional situations. The program’s competition preparation has included events such as Gulf Debates, the World Scholar’s Cup, and the International Debating Championship in Australia. Vocalize offers group, team, and individual coaching.
