VÖSI

VÖSI, the Association of Austrian Software Innovations, is an independent platform representing companies in Austria’s software industry. Founded in 1986, it aims to strengthen the sector nationally and internationally, support conditions for sustainable economic success, and encourage public discussion about software. Rather than selling software products, VÖSI provides services and opportunities that connect and represent its members.

Its activities include industry advocacy, regular dialogue with government bodies, chambers and universities, and ongoing communication with the media about the economic and social perspectives of its members. Specialist interest groups bring together company representatives to explore topics such as artificial intelligence, data protection, accessibility, digital sovereignty, enterprise architecture and women in ICT. Their work can inform positions and statements shared through the association’s communication channels.

VÖSI also organizes networking and knowledge-sharing opportunities, including its quarterly Branchentalk, where experts present and discuss current IT topics. Members can take part in working groups, events and professional exchanges, while the association’s newsletter shares industry news and event updates.
