im Vogelpark Neuthard

The Vogelschutz- und Zuchtverein e.V. Neuthard operates Vogelpark Neuthard, a community-focused bird park dedicated to animal care, nature conservation and breeding. The park is home to a varied collection of birds, including bald and steppe eagles, desert buzzards, several owl species, crowned cranes, flamingos, ornamental ducks, peafowl, golden pheasants, budgerigars, canaries, diamond doves and quail. Its fish pond houses koi and turtles, while the petting area gives visitors, especially children, the chance to meet and feed dwarf goats and learn about their care.

The association runs breeding programmes for threatened bird species, with the aim of supporting conservation and, where possible, releasing birds into the wild. Members also provide daily care for the animals and maintain the park through regular volunteer work sessions. Families and people of all ages are welcome to take part and experience wildlife conservation firsthand. The organization invites supporters to help through volunteering, donations and fundraising initiatives, and hosts community events such as its annual Christmas market.
