Vogelvereniging Zang en Kleur

Vogelvereniging Zang en Kleur is a local bird association serving Nijverdal and Hellendoorn in the Netherlands. The club brings together bird enthusiasts and provides opportunities for members to participate in activities, share their interest, and celebrate achievements in bird keeping. Its programme includes club exhibitions and bird shows, where birds compete across categories such as colour and posture canaries, European birds, tropical birds, lovebirds, large parakeets, colour budgerigars, and youth entries.

The association publishes competition results and recognises outstanding birds and members, including local members honoured as Dutch champions. Zang en Kleur also organises a bird market, bingo evenings, member meetings, and an annual calendar of club events. Its committees support the association’s work, with dedicated groups for exhibitions, the market, and lotteries, alongside a board and exhibition leadership.

The club also provides information about bird rings and its activities through its website and Facebook page. Based in the local community, Zang en Kleur offers members a welcoming setting to take part in bird-related events and club life
