VoiceBankNOW

VoiceBankNOW is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit run entirely by volunteers. It provides virtual education and resources for people with speech diversity and those who have lost, or may lose, their voice due to medical conditions such as head and neck cancer, ALS, and aphasia. Its mission is to help people preserve their voice and maintain communication by explaining available technologies and sharing user-based perspectives.

The organization’s website guides visitors through voice banking, traditional voice synthesis, AI voice cloning, and virtual voicing, along with equipment, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) hardware, apps, and setup options for phones, tablets, and computers. Educational materials include video guides, an overview of the voicing process, and a quick-start guide. Voice banking involves recording speech to create a synthesized voice for communication applications; AI cloning can produce a more expressive voice from recordings.
