About Volcánicas
Volcánicas is a feminist collective of migrant, exiled, and diverse women dedicated to advocating for the rights and freedoms of Nicaraguan women. Based in Costa Rica, we support Nicaraguan migrant and exiled women through political advocacy, networking, digital communication, and support spaces. Our projects, like "Migramos para Vivir," focus on informing and asserting the social rights of Nicaraguan migrant and refugee women, ensuring they live safely and with dignity.
We organize workshops, such as "Tejiendo Redes," to empower Nicaraguan and Costa Rican women on social rights. Our podcast, "Furia Volcánica," provides a platform for diverse voices to discuss feminist issues and rights. Volcánicas is committed to building a supportive community and raising awareness for the struggles faced by Nicaraguan women in migration.
