Volcelest

Le Volcelest is a countryside retreat and equestrian stopover in Gironde, France, set within a six-hectare park in the heart of the forest. The estate brings together group accommodation and facilities for horses, offering a peaceful setting for family or friends’ stays, celebrations and nature breaks. Its gîtes are available for tourism and events, including weddings, while the on-site stable welcomes horses for a stopover during long-distance journeys or visits to the region. The property is conveniently located between Bordeaux, the Landes and the Arcachon Basin, making it a base for exploring the surrounding area.

Founded in the late 1960s as a hunting lodge, Le Volcelest later became an equestrian tourism centre and then a riding centre. Following the riding centre’s closure in 2018, its stables were converted into a hotel for horses, while the gîtes took on a focus on tourism and events. The estate continues its longstanding tradition of hospitality and sharing, combining rural accommodation with equestrian services in a distinctive historic setting.
