Volzhsky Lyod is an autonomous nonprofit sports school focused on developing mass and amateur figure skating in Russia’s Saratov region, including Saratov and Engels. It welcomes children from around age three or four and adults of all experience levels, with groups for beginners and more advanced recreational skaters. Training combines on-ice skating with general physical conditioning to support skill development and athlete safety.

The school helps participants choose a suitable group, coach, and schedule based on age and ability. Newcomers can apply online or contact the school directly, and skate rental is available for a first session. Volzhsky Lyod holds amateur competitions in the region and participates in events organized by the Association for the Development of Mass Figure Skating. Its students also take part in competitions across Russia.

The school offers regular training through monthly memberships, as well as intensives and training camps. Registration and payments are available online.
