Volkshilfe Wien is a social organisation serving people in need in Vienna. With more than 75 years of work grounded in solidarity, it offers support across care, housing, employment, family services, migration, and psychosocial wellbeing. Its care services include home nursing, home help, psychiatric support, 24-hour care, and visiting services. For children and families, it provides child-minding, early support, family assistance, youth accommodation, and mentoring for care leavers.

The organisation also helps people access work and training through programmes and social enterprises focused on employment, skills development, transport, cleaning, and urban maintenance. Its housing and homelessness services include supported accommodation, emergency shelter, housing advice, and assistance to help people retain their homes. Other services cover social counselling, support for migrants and refugees, men’s counselling, and specialist help for sex workers.

Volkshilfe Wien invites the public to contribute through donations, volunteering, membership, and corporate partnerships. It also promotes sustainable shopping through its TAV vintage shops and online second-hand stores.
