SV “Glück auf” Hüttenrode e. V. organizes the Hüttenröder Volleyballturnier, a large open-air volleyball tournament held each year at Whitsun in Hüttenrode, Germany.
Running since 1968, the event welcomes recreational, amateur and professional teams. Men’s and women’s teams compete on 12 courts at the Astberg, with matches played to determine every final placing, not only the winners. The tournament combines sporting competition with a lively social program: evening celebrations take place in a large festival tent, and Saturday features the event’s distinctive Hexennacht.
The organizers provide information for prospective participants, including registration, tournament details, schedules and results. The website also offers tournament history, photographs, statistics, rankings, winners’ and participants’ lists, sponsor information and contact details. Based in Hüttenrode, the registered association is led by its chair, Hans Gerd Charwat, with Torsten Gehlmann as deputy.
By bringing teams of varied experience together for a multi-day competition and community celebration, the club has established the tournament as a recurring fixture in the region’s volleyball calendar
