The Verband Oberrheinischer Narrenzünfte e.V. is an association connecting carnival guilds across the Upper Rhine region, from the Dreiländereck to the Ortenau. Its network is organised into six regional Vogteien, including Freiburg, the Dreiländereck, the Hochschwarzwald, the Mittlerer and Südlicher Breisgau, the Nördlicher Breisgau and Elztal, and the Ortenau. The association provides information about its member guilds, organisational structure, history, leadership, and the Oberrheinische Narrenschau, helping visitors explore the region’s carnival traditions and participating communities.

The Verband also shares news and press releases and publishes dates for events and processions. Its calendar includes gatherings such as the Narrensome-Treffen of the Ortenau Vogtei and the FaSo procession in Gottenheim. Youth activities are among its areas of focus, with updates addressing child protection. Through its website and public contacts, the association supports communication among guilds, participants, and the wider public, while promoting Fasnet and the cultural life of the Upper Rhine.
