About Stichting VoorleesExpress
VoorleesExpress is a dedicated organization committed to enhancing language development among children in the Netherlands. For over 17 years, this volunteering initiative has successfully partnered with families, fostering a rich language environment to combat language delays. By engaging parents and children through reading sessions, the VoorleesExpress promotes literacy and language enjoyment with a diverse collection of picture books available in over 60 languages and dialects.
The organization facilitates approximately 80,000 reading sessions annually, benefiting around 7,000 children and collaborating with 3,550 families each week across 607 locations. The expanded project, DoorleesExpress, caters to children aged 8 to 12, demonstrating the joy of language through interactive activities.
