Begravelsesforretning Sørup

Sørup Begravelser is a family-owned funeral service with roots dating back to 1933, now run by the third generation. Based in Kgs. Lyngby and Ordrup, the company serves families across Nordsjælland, Greater Copenhagen and surrounding areas, and can meet relatives at home or another convenient location. Its team offers compassionate, professional guidance through the arrangements for a funeral or cremation, helping families create a respectful farewell that reflects their wishes.

Services include personal consultations, round-the-clock assistance and support with practical and administrative tasks. Sørup handles death registrations, contacts relevant public authorities and helps families apply for funeral assistance. The team can also coordinate with clergy, cemeteries, crematoria, stonemasons and florists, and assist with death notices. The website provides guides and information on ceremonies, burial and cremation options, memorial services, flowers and other arrangements, alongside details about prices. Sørup offers a selection of coffins and urns in varied styles and price ranges. For each coffin sold, the company says it plants a tree in Denmark’s public forests.
