About Guy Godin
Virtual Desktop is a virtual reality software brand that lets users access a computer through a headset and interact with it on a large virtual screen. Its app supports watching movies, browsing the web, viewing 3D side-by-side content, and streaming PC games, including compatible SteamVR and Oculus Rift titles. Users can connect over a local network or, with remote connections enabled, access a computer over the internet; the site states that remote traffic is end-to-end encrypted.
Virtual Desktop offers PC and standalone versions, with downloads and listings available through Steam, the Quest Store, Pico Store, Viveport, Vive Business Store, and Google Play. The software supports a range of Meta Quest, Pico, HTC Vive, Play for Dream, and Samsung Galaxy XR headsets, while its classic version also supports PC-connected headsets such as Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, Valve Index, and Windows Mixed Reality devices. A companion Streamer App connects the computer to the headset.
