About VSDDL
Welcome to the Vehicle Systems, Dynamics, and Design Laboratory (VSDDL) at Auburn University's Department of Aerospace Engineering. Founded in 2018 by Dr. Imon Chakraborty, our lab is dedicated to research in aircraft systems, dynamics, control, and flight simulation, with a particular focus on aircraft sizing and design. With over $1.5M in federally funded research from NASA, USAF, and the FAA, we collaborate with industry partners to advance the field of aerospace engineering.
Our lab houses flight simulators built by our team, offering a high level of reconfigurability for research and teaching purposes. We also conduct studies on Simplified Vehicle Operations (SVO) for Urban Air Mobility (UAM) with funding from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Interested in joining us?
