VSSÖ (Verband der Sportartikelerzeuger und Sportartikelhändler Österreichs) is a non-profit institution dedicated to promoting the reputation of the sports industry and representing the interests of its members on a national and international level. The VSSÖ Academy offers specialized courses for sports retailers in the areas of biking and winter sports. They provide training and further education programs in collaboration with selected partners. VSSÖ also owns the largest sports trade fair in Austria, ÖSFA, which takes place annually in Salzburg Bergheim in the Brandboxx. They also organize the Austria on Bike event, which includes bike order days, trade fairs, and bike test days. Additionally, VSSÖ offers certifications for ski and bike gear, along with safety inspections and a variety of support services for retailers.
