VSTE

Vasutas Sporthorgász és Természetvédő Egyesület (VSTE) is a sports fishing and nature conservation association described as one of the largest angling associations in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County. Its stated aims are to provide favorable fishing opportunities, represent members’ interests, promote angling, develop members’ skills, and encourage respect for property, laws, regulations, and nature.

The association’s website offers practical information for anglers about its waters and activities. Visitors can find details about the Marótzugi dead arm, including fishing regulations, regional permit prices, access and parking guidance, fish stocking, catches, and a photo gallery. The site also publishes association news and information about fishing competitions, including an event at Kotesz Lake, as well as contact details and guidance on allocating one percent of personal income tax.

A 2026 notice explains that anglers with a valid annual or daily regional permit may use a specified section of the Gávavencsellő Tisza flood embankment, provided they review and sign the required declaration. VSTE brings together recreational fishing, member representation, and environmental stewardship.
