L’Associazione Culturale Vulcani e Ambiente è nata nel Gennaio 2000 sull’orlo del cratere di Vulcano e da allora è entrata nelle case di molti appassionati ed in tantissime scuole con lo scopo di far conoscere a chi era già interessato, e a chi poi lo è diventato, degli ambienti dove a regnare sono l’energia e la bellezza. Siamo ricercatori, docenti, laureati in scienze geologiche, biologiche e naturali, dottori di ricerca, guide escursionistico-ambientali, ma più di ogni altra cosa siamo appassionati di natura, scienza e trekking con la voglia di trasmettere e condividere questi nostri interessi con chi lo vorrà.Alla base della nostra attività sta la voglia di coinvolgere attivamente chi ci segue mettendo sempre in primo piano la scoperta della natura e la curiosità ed il divertimento nel fare scienza.

Vulcani e Ambiente is an Italian cultural association founded in January 2000 on the rim of Vulcano’s crater. It introduces students and other interested audiences to volcanic and natural environments, sharing the energy and beauty of these places through science, exploration and outdoor learning. Its work is led by a qualified team that includes researchers, teachers, graduates in geological, biological and natural sciences, research doctorate holders and environmental hiking guides.
The association’s activities include school placements and educational stages, school laboratories and guided excursions. It also offers programs focused on volcanoes, including volcanology stages on Stromboli, and takes part in educational events with schools. Across these activities, Vulcani e Ambiente encourages participants to take an active role, ask questions and discover nature through scientific inquiry, curiosity and enjoyment. Bringing together expertise in the natural sciences with a shared enthusiasm for nature and trekking, the association aims to make learning engaging and help participants reflect on future study and career choices.
