About Vodní záchranná služba ČČK
Vodní záchranná služba ČČK (Water Rescue Service ČČK) is the largest and oldest nationwide organization dedicated to water rescue, education, and lifesaving sports. Founded in 1968, they are an active part of the Integrated Rescue System of the Czech Republic, operating in ten regions across the country. As a member of the International Life Saving Federation, they represent the Czech Republic at an international level.
The organization operates on selected water surfaces 24/7 and collaborates with various entities such as the Fire Rescue Service, Emergency Medical Services, Police, and navigation authorities. In addition to their primary rescue duties, Vodní záchranná služba ČČK provides training and education for their members, other components of the Integrated Rescue System, as well as the public and businesses. They offer courses in water rescue and first aid, employing experiential learning methods and model situations.
