The Guidance Center

The Guidance Center is a nonprofit community mental health organization serving children, adults, and families across 16 counties in Western Arkansas. Established in 1971, it provides care through nine locations, telehealth, and specialized programs, with a commitment to making services accessible regardless of a person’s ability to pay. Its offerings include outpatient counseling, psychiatric and medication management, addiction treatment, residential services at Horizon Renewal Center, and 24/7 crisis support.

Programs for children and families include school-based therapy, therapeutic foster care, and family-centered treatment. Additional services include mental health urgent care, crisis stabilization, primary care, adult day services, and drug and alcohol safety education. The Guidance Center accepts many major insurance plans, including Medicaid and Medicare, and offers a sliding fee scale and other financial assistance.

It is a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic, CARF-accredited, and an HRSA-approved site. Telehealth appointments provide another way to connect with clinicians. Crisis assistance is available around the clock at 479-999-9911
