About Women's Agri-Enviro Vision
Women's Agri is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering women from marginalized villages in Tanzania. We work on various projects, including environmental conservation, nutrition, and entrepreneurship. Our mission is to educate these communities and provide them with essential resources to support their projects.
Our ultimate goal is to transform these communities, allowing each women's group to take the lead in their respective projects. Founded in early 2019, Women's Agri-Enviro Vision (WAEV) was established by our Executive Director, Saing’orie Sangau, who witnessed firsthand the discrimination and lack of opportunities faced by women in his village. Through sustainable social and economic development, we empower women with economic opportunities and mobilize them to become environmental stewards.
With a rapidly growing membership of over 400 women across 13 groups, we are cultivating leaders who champion environmental and social justice. Currently focused in the Monduli District, where Maasai communities reside, we are determined to address disparities and empower women socially and economically.
