About WAF
Wellness Africa Foundation is a renowned NGO that is dedicated to promoting public health and well-being. They offer a range of programs, services, and products aimed at improving the overall health of individuals and communities. One of their initiatives is the WAF Summer Undergraduate Internship Programme, which provides qualified undergraduate students with a ten-week capacity-building opportunity to gain professional experience in NGO operations.
During this program, interns will work closely with local and international interns and staff, allowing them to co-create work schedules, collaborate on projects, and receive valuable feedback from the leadership team. The internship program focuses on developing both technical skills like research, writing, and project management, as well as essential soft skills like critical thinking, empathy, and teamwork. Interested students should apply between February and March, and successful interns are required to pay a token amount to cover administration, accommodation, training, and transportation costs.
