WAFA Fertilizer is the West African Fertilizer Association, a united group of professionals in the fertilizer industry aiming to address the challenges in the region. It represents all member countries of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS). The association consists of 28 companies from 9 different countries, coming together to promote sustainable agriculture and create an environment favorable to farmers.

The vision of WAFA is to bring together all fertilizer professionals such as importers, producers, processors, and distributors to have a common voice in promoting the efficient use of fertilizers and developing sustainable agriculture in West Africa.

WAFA's mission includes promoting access to quality and appropriate fertilizers for the farming population of West Africa. They also engage authorities and policy makers in developing regional agricultural policies and strive to support their members by facilitating better business linkages and market access.

One of WAFA's key objectives is to improve the quality of fertilizers, for which they work closely with agricultural research institutes in the region. They also focus on facilitating supplies through major ports in West Africa and addressing financing challenges faced by their members.

WAFA partners with organizations such as the Economic Community of West African States, West African Monetary and Economic Union, International Fertilizer Development Center, and African Fertilizer and Agribusiness Partnership to achieve their goals.
