Welcome to the Waiheke Community Art Gallery, located on the picturesque Waiheke Island, just a short ferry ride away from downtown Auckland. Our gallery showcases the vibrant and diverse talent of New Zealand artists, featuring a dynamic exhibition program that changes regularly.

Established in 1995 as a not-for-profit society, our gallery is dedicated to promoting the visual arts and arts-related activities, both on our island and to visitors from around the world. With over 100 local and New Zealand artists exhibiting annually, there is always something new and inspiring to see.

In addition to our exhibitions, we are proud to host two national award exhibitions, attracting entries from all over the country. Our renowned Perpetual Guardian Sculpture on the Gulf exhibition is a biennial event set along the magnificent Matiatia coastal walkway. We also offer the Waiheke Art Map, guiding visitors to artists’ studios, as well as the Wonderful Waiheke House Tour, which showcases our island's architectural gems.

Our gallery is committed to supporting community initiatives, and we work closely with local schools and organizations. We also have a delightful gallery shop, featuring high-quality ceramics, jewelry, and handcrafted artworks from both Waiheke Island and across New Zealand.
