Wakashio Distillery is a sake producer headquartered in Shibushi City, on the eastern Osumi Peninsula in Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan. The company has long made shochu for local everyday enjoyment and aims to carry this regional tradition into the future while exploring new ways to enjoy distilled spirits. The distillery’s best-known shochu include Satsuma Wakashio, a signature everyday-style label whose quality the company continues to refine, and Chikamejo, a flagship made carefully using traditional methods. The GLOW brand explores shochu beyond conventional expectations, while 424GIN is a craft gin distilled using a wooden pot still. The f spirits range combines sweet potato shochu with out-of-standard fruits and vegetables from the Osumi Peninsula to create distinctive aromas.
