Wakehurst Rugby Club is a community rugby organisation based at Wakehurst Rugby Park in Belrose, serving families across Sydney’s Northern Beaches, including Belrose, Frenchs Forest and Davidson. Founded in 1966, the club has grown from a volunteer-built local ground into a multigenerational community with more than 250 players in 2026 and a history spanning over six decades.
Wakehurst welcomes players of all ages, from Minis aged U6–U9 and Juniors aged U10–U16 to Seniors and Colts, including open-age and U21 teams. The club supports participation in Warringah Minis, the Sydney Junior Rugby Union and NSW Subbies competitions, with match fixtures and results available through Rugby Xplorer. Its seasonal Tri-Tag program offers a non-contact way to try rugby, with come-and-try sessions and girls’ teams in every age group.
Beyond playing, Wakehurst offers opportunities to coach, manage, volunteer and sponsor the club. Families can also take part in community events, club celebrations and match-day activities. Built and sustained by local volunteers, Wakehurst brings together rugby, family and community at its Belrose home.
