Wakelyns

Wakelyns is a 23-hectare organic agroforestry farm in Suffolk, UK, combining food production, nature restoration, learning and community activity. Established as an agroforestry site in 1994, it uses a diverse, tree-rich farming approach and champions short food chains, with produce prepared or crafted on site for local sale and use. Its crops include agroecological wheats, apples, pears, plums, cherries, walnuts, lentils, camelina, oats, potatoes, pumpkins, squash, hemp and vines.

Wakelyns brings together a range of land-based enterprises, including Silva Kitchen & Bakery, WakelynsVeg, Wakelyns Textiles, The Contemporary Hempery, Willow Phoenix, natural habitat work and juicing. Visitors can join farm tours, tree and bird walks, nature activities, natural dyeing and weaving workshops, willow-weaving courses, festivals and other events. The site also offers holiday accommodation in its farmhouse and Ley Alley Pod, as well as retreats for groups and NGOs. Wakelyns supports research into organic agroforestry, biodiversity and farming, and welcomes volunteers.
