About Humane Society of Walden NY
The Humane Society of Walden, established in 1974, is a no-kill, non-profit safe haven dedicated to helping stray and abandoned cats and dogs. We provide quality care for these companion pets while they wait for their forever homes. Our animal shelter serves the communities of Montgomery, Walden, Maybrook, Crawford, Wawarsing, Shawangunk, and Mamakating, but we don't turn away pets from across the country in need.
We have a wide selection of wonderful dogs and cats of all breeds, ages, and sizes. At the Humane Society of Walden, we believe that all animals have a natural right to humane treatment, proper care, respect, and safe shelter. Our primary mission is to provide care and find permanent, loving homes for the animals that come through our doors.
We are open to the public Monday through Sunday from noon until 4 pm. So why wait? Visit us today and find the perfect pet companion for you and your family
