Waldeslust Roding

Schützenverein Waldeslust Roding e. V. is a community shooting club serving Roding, Maxhütte-Haidhof and the wider Städtedreieck area in Bavaria.

Founded in 1927, the club brings together around 150 members and combines traditional shooting culture with modern sporting facilities and a welcoming social environment. Its disciplines include air rifle and air pistol, including supported shooting, as well as blowpipe shooting and a newly active archery section. Visitors can try activities such as archery, blowpipe and air rifle, with equipment provided.

The club’s range features six electronic Meyton lanes for training and competitions, plus two PLT 2 laser stations that let children under 12 explore the sport safely without ammunition while developing concentration and coordination. Waldeslust Roding supports young people through dedicated training, events and competitions, and hosts regular practice sessions and matches. Beyond sport, members take part in excursions, social evenings and traditional celebrations, including the club’s Schützenfeste and Kirwa.

The club welcomes prospective competitive shooters and people interested in joining as passive members, and invites them to arrange an introductory visit or trial session
