Waldforscher Kindergärten is a Hamburg-based provider of forest kindergartens and nature-focused childcare, with sites in and around the Niendorfer Gehege. Its kindergartens and forest crèche give children opportunities to learn, play and develop in a natural setting while remaining in the city. The educational approach combines nature experiences, social learning and aesthetic education, helping children build environmental awareness, confidence, resilience and considerate relationships with others.

Children explore the forest through sensory activities, outdoor play and creative projects such as making crafts from natural materials, singing, dancing and painting. Waldforscher also uses the Faustlos programme, which promotes nonviolent communication and social skills. Meals are supplied by FORREST COOK and are described as healthy, balanced and tasty, with predominantly regional, seasonal organic ingredients.

The organisation offers regular introductory sessions for families interested in its crèche, along with information about its locations, educational concept and enrollment. Parents can contact Waldforscher to ask about places, visit opportunities and applications.
