Waldo’s Secret Garden is a distinctive event venue in Vero Beach, Florida, set among historic homes and lush, whimsical grounds. The property’s story began around 1911, when local pioneer Waldo E. Sexton started building a home for his family.

In the 1940s, a second, driftwood-inspired house was built for his daughter Barbara and her husband, John Tripson. Joined by a jungle-like setting and unusual sidewalks, the buildings reflect Sexton’s affection for rustic construction and eccentric attractions. The property also includes land once associated with Vero Beach Dairy, developed by the family in 1922 and later known as Tripson Dairy.

Although the dairy business is inactive, the grounds retain their historic Old Florida character; the former agricultural property now serves as an antique barn and is being renovated as another venue option. Waldo’s Secret Garden welcomes events including weddings, vow renewals, dinner and anniversary parties, bridal and baby showers, celebrations of life, and art shows
