Waldschatzfinder

Waldschatzfinder is a nature and outdoor platform that helps people plan mushroom foraging, hiking and wild-plant outings across Europe. Its mushroom forecast uses local weather and, in its Pro features, information about soil, elevation and nearby tree species to estimate when and where more than 30 kinds of mushrooms may grow. Visitors can check a basic forecast without signing up, while a free account unlocks species-specific forecasts, a mushroom calendar, hotspot and species maps, and alerts for chosen locations.

The platform also supports responsible foraging with beginner guides, mushroom profiles and identification guidance, including a mushroom AI. Its outdoor tools include a route planner for mushroom and herb walks, hiking maps, elevation profiles and GPX export. Routes can be tailored to activities, interests and group pace, including family outings. Waldschatzfinder also offers plant information, seasonal ideas, recipes, community features and user tour reports. The site says it is run by a small team with more than 45 years of mushroom experience, and emphasizes collecting only mushrooms users can identify with confidence.
