Waler Horse

The Waler Horse Society of Australia (WHSA) celebrates the rich heritage of the Australian Waler horse, renowned for its exceptional endurance and brave service during historical military engagements such as the Australian Light Horse campaigns. As the steward of the Waler breed, the WHSA is dedicated to the promotion and preservation of these remarkable horses in both competition and pleasure riding arenas.

The society offers a range of services including a comprehensive studbook, high-point awards, and the regulation of stallions at stud. They organize events like the National Online Waler Show and provide educational resources such as a historical book on the breed's development. Members have access to various resources, including registration services with updated DNA requirements for horses.

With a strong community focus, the WHSA fosters a love for Walers while highlighting their historical significance and ongoing contribution to Australian equine culture. Join the WHSA to connect with fellow enthusiasts and explore everything the Waler breed has to offer.
