Wales Karate Association is an independent association formed in 2018, welcoming karate clubs of all styles from across Wales. Headed by Chief Instructor Jason Hayward, it provides a framework for clubs to affiliate and access practical support, policies and member benefits. The affiliation process is described as simple and confidential, with application forms available on request.

Affiliated member clubs can access licensing and insurance, including public liability, member-to-member, personal accident and instructor indemnity cover. The association also provides enhanced DBS checks and access to codes of practice covering areas such as child protection, social networking and equity. Its constitution is available to members upon request.

The association’s website shares information about gradings, events and results, including black belt results, and provides details for clubs considering affiliation. Wales Karate Association invites clubs to contact it for further information about membership and its benefits. Enquiries are handled under its confidentiality policy, and the organisation provides contact options through its website and email.
