Hösten 2026 flyttar vi in i våra förnyade och utvidgade lokaler med mer utrymme för konst, möten och kultur. WAM är Åbo stads konstmuseum samt det regionala konstmuseet med ansvar inom konstfältet. Vi förvaltar stadens konstsamling och samordnar projekt för offentlig konst. * WAM is a bold and dialogical contemporary art museum that brings together audiences and the most topical phenomena in art. Situated by the River Aura in an iconic museum building, WAM is currently undergoing a major renovation to meet the needs of the future. In autumn 2026, we will move into our renewed and expanded premises – offering more space for art, encounters, and culture. WAM is Turku City Art Museum as well as the regional art museum with responsibility in the field. We manage the city’s art collection and coordinate public art projects.

WAM, the Turku Museum of Contemporary Art, is a museum dedicated to contemporary art and the visual culture of the city and region. Located on Itäinen Rantakatu in Turku, WAM welcomes visitors to explore exhibitions, events and art from the Turku City art collection. The museum manages around 11,000 works in that collection and also presents public art, including outdoor sculptures.
